Karin Lijnes presents a ceramic and multimedia installation in the Main Gallery utilising beautifully articulated ceramic bottles which investigate the power of branding and the effects of mass production.
We Already Know How This Will End
Gretchen van der Byl shows in the Long Gallery, a series of works on paper which negotiate the beginning and the end of everything - every beginning contingent upon an inevitable ending. Using these ideas as parentheses, her works attempt to articulate the sweet futility of our attempt to negotiate some sort of meaningful existence in the brief interim between being and not-being.
Vinyl
Exhibiting in the Artstrip, 'Vinyl' is Igshaan Adams's first solo show in which he negotiates the politics of identity and community. Old vinyl is sensitively reconstituted from utilitarian flooring into wall based mixed media work.
