Matthew King, Some Jokes. Performance still: Alma Mater
“I was also thinking about titling it. At first I just thought, “Stand Up Routine”, and then I thought the pun, “Stand Up Guy”, and then realised it had the word guy in it (and that maybe that pun is too on the nose anyway), so then I thought “Stand Up Person”, but that is clumsy in a way that I don’t like, and then much later I realised that the phrase, “stand up” is ever so slightly (or maybe quite straight-forwardly) ableist. So for now it’s just, “Comedy Routine”, although, actually it should maybe just be, “Some Jokes”. I just thought of that now, which I quite like.”
