Dan Halter’s ‘V is for Vendetta’ at FNB Art Fair

A story by

Chad Rossouw

on the 13th of September 2015. This should take you < 1 minute to read.

A highlight from the FNB Joburg Art Fair is Dan Halter’s series of sculptures based on Guy Fawkes masks. The work is an odd mash-up of internet activism (the Guy Fawkes mask is associated with the group Anonymous), popular culture (the masks feature heavily in Alan Moore’s comic V for Vendetta) and growing political awareness by African youth.

The work is viewable at the Whatiftheworld booth at the FNB Joburg Art Fair
