Art for AIDS Orphans Auction
The Art for AIDS Orphans Auction aims to raise money for the charity by the auction of artworks by a host of well-known South African artists. The importance of addressing this problem hardly requires detailing, and artists have responded with great generosity. William Kentridge, Tyrone Appollis, Tracey Rose, Beezy Bailey and Sue Williamson number amongst the many artists who have contributed.
A comprehensive catalogue of the works on auction has been compiled, and Stephan Welz of Sotheby's will be conducting the auction. Tickets to the event cost R200 and include a meal at a table individually hosted by celebrities including Patricia De Lille, Marc Lottering and Jimi Dludlu.
The programme starts at 7pm with a viewing of the works. Mark Banks will introduce the evening at 8pm, and the auction will follow at 8.30pm.
Commences: 7pm, November 19
Grandwest Casino, Goodwood, Cape Town
