BHP Billiton Young Artist Grant
BHP Billiton recently established a grant that will enable young artists to travel abroad and gain first hand experience of the international art market. The grant will cover the price of an airticket, as well as supply sufficient funds to enable young artists to see contemporary works of art. The grant is specifically designed to encourage the research and development of contemporary art.
Further details on the grant will be advertised shortly although it is already known that the grant will only be available to fine arts students under the age of 35 currently studying at a post graduate level, or to artists under 35 who have had at least one solo exhibition.
