New contemporary art space in Pretoria
The Secret Gallery is a new experimental art space opening in the suburb of Villieria, Pretoria. An exhibition of works by Zander Blom and Lionel Smit in November will unofficially open the venue. The Gallery will officially launch in March 2004 with a group show of artists, including Bevan Thornton, Jacques van de Merwe, Johan Thom, Kudzanai Chiurai, Liam Lynch, M.J. Lourens, Roan Hendrikz and Rossouw van der Walt. Artists are invited to submit portfolios and proposals for installations and performances for future group exhibitions and events.
