During the 1990s WIRED magazine was the bible of the dot.com boom, prophesising and proselytising all things digital. At least the content in their animation section manages to deliver on some of the hype. Animator/Director Naoki Mitsuse is worth pausing on. This California resident is the creator of a particularly scurrilous series of Flash animations, most notably his Sex Slave series. Truly prurient, his non-linear and somewhat macabre storylines are a visual delight - and they're darn funny at that.(Check out his website: http://goultralightsgo.com.) Also check out Shane Corkey's Tumbleweeds(Flash), a strangely passionate urban journey that has a most unexpected destination, and Pablo Goitisolo's To See The Stars (Quicktime).
