New Studio Artists at The Bag Factory
Gerhard Marx, Maja Marx and Churchill Madikida have taken on studio spaces at The Bag Factory (AKA Fordsburg Artist's Studios) for 2009. They join Bongi Bengu, Petros Ghebrehiwot, Diana Hyslop, David Koloane, Pat Mautloa, Sam Nhlengethwa, Tracey Rose and Dinkies Sithole. The studios have been a base for a number of artists in their nearly 17 years of existence, hosting the likes of Wayne Barker, Kendell Geers, Kay Hassan, Athi Patra Ruga, Joachim Schönfeldt, Andrew Tshabangu and Johan Thom.
