When did you move into your studio?
I have been in it for most of this year.
In what way have you changed it since you arrived?
My studio colleague Ian walks through my space to get to his, so the very first thing I did was to build a screen, so that I can pretend that that does not happen. It works well, also because he walks through well. It has become a large thin sculpture.
What is its best feature?
Its location. The very urban lower CBD in Cape Town.
What is the most utilised non-art object in it?
A small radio and the location.
How many hours a day on average to you spend in it?
It changes all the time. At the moment I'd say 7 or 9.
If you had to share it, who would you want to share it with?
I don't like sharing a studio, so even if I do I sort of don't. But I love having neighbours and I'm very happy with the one I have.
