Whose whose: Georgina Gratrix & Paul Housley

Georgina Gratrix & Paul Housley
The Pink Lady & Totally Wired and Cranked Up Really High,
.
To my mind Georgina Gratrix and Paul Housley are two of the best and most entertaining painters working today. Their work contains some stark similarities with their multi-ocular figures - which seem to intimate at a visually obsessed society - and their ability to convey their interests via the use of humour and absurdity.
However their artistic divergence is as great as their similarities. Their colour palate, application and brush stroke are distinctly their own. What is more their subject matters, although superficially similar, are informed by markedly different social and historical contexts.
