Nontsikelelo Veleko's traveling show, mounted for her winning of the 2008 Standard Bank Young Artist award for Visual Art, comes to the Satndard Bank Gallery in Johannesburg.

2008 Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year Award winner Nontsikeleo Veleko presents ‘Wonderland’ at the Standard Bank Gallery in June and July. The show explores familiar themes of people on the streets, fashion, graffiti and personal spaces. Len Sak’s ‘Jojo: Celebrating 50 years’, which is on show in the gallery’s downstairs space, focuses on this cartoon character, a sort of township everyman which Sak created for Drum magazine in 1958.
