JOURNEYS

Description: A passage through time, moving places or spaces, adapting, changing, metamorphosing, these themes as they relate to the idea of a journey will be expressed  in selected works from the Art Museum’s Permanent Collection.

LEGACY

Opening date: 5 March.  Closing date: 4 May 2014
Description: David Walters and Friends: Legacy is an exhibition that commemorates the life of the late Professor Juliet Armstrong as well as at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Centre for Visual Art, where she worked for over thirty years.  The exhibition includes works from past and current lecturers and alumni and represents the create legacy that are the legacy of the UKZN ceramic studios.

CONNECTIONS

Opening date:  12 May . Closing date: 17 July 2014
Description: A fun and interesting mind map of the connections that exist between art works in the museum’s Permanent Collection.  This exhibition will form part of the Art Museum celebrations for this year’s International Museum Day theme “Collections make connections”.
