Website of the month is this one: the New School International art tour which takes browsers to the Johannesburg Biennale via Venice and Kassel. The Johannesburg Biennale section was sponsored by the Peter Norton Family Foundation, which also brought a group of highly influential curators from top art institutions in the United States to tour the Biennale. The site is a treat, featuring interviews, a section on each of the main shows, lots of photos of art, even a trip to Robben Island for the opening of Thirty Minutes, the installation project in the Robben Island Visitors Block.

The currect project at the White Cube in London
is an exhibition of photographs by Walter Niedermayr

The White Cube is a tiny exhibition space with a huge reputation in central London under the directorship of main art man Jay Jopling. The exhibition list includes most of the YBA's or Young British Artists such as Damien Hirst, Mona Hatoum and Antony Gormley, and the site is set up in such a clean and accessible way that is it is easy to nip back and visit past projects.

Back to the home front - Artthrob has been invited twice to visit this site, which is the home page of the Association for Visual Arts in Cape Town, an organisation and gallery space run by a committee of artists and art lovers. Although the page does a neat job of archiving the artists who have shown in the gallery in the past, on neither visit has it been possible to find out anything about the current exhibition.
