OMFIF | Call for Submissions

Elegibility: Artists must be African nationals living in Africa. No qualifications are necessary and there is no entry fee. Submissions must be original artworks in any medium, inspired by the theme The Convergence of Nations, and must not have been previously exhibited.

Closing date: Entries must be submitted digitally by 1 July 2015 to artprize@omfif.org.

OMFIF in conjunction with Quantum Global is running an art competition to design the front cover of The Convergence of Nations, a book on the future of Africa. Artists are invited to submit an original artwork for the cover which will be published in Autumn 2015.

Authored by policy-makers, journalists and experts in the field, the book will cover topics from creative industries to natural resources, agriculture to media and finance to demographics, providing a comprehensive overview of Africa’s strengths and opportunities and the areas in need of investment to secure the next phase of development.

First prize:
• £1,000
• Your artwork printed on the front cover of the book, marketed worldwide on Amazon
• Your artwork exhibited at the book launch in London
• Coverage via social media and press release
• Career support through the African Art Project
• Signed copy of the book
