Apply for Studio Space at Greatmore Studios, the ‘arts hub’ where the unifying glue is creativity and where innovative people exchange ideas and are supported in their arts career development.
Greatmore’s niche is the essential support for an early (unestablished) artist at that vulnerable stage – when experimentation, un-distracted dedication and a supporting environment are essential.
Twelve artists studios, an event space, a social courtyard space, a digital arts facility, an office, kitchen and forecourt are housed at 47 & 49 Greatmore Street, Woodstock, in Cape Town. Greatmore Studios is also fortunate to have a four bedroomed house for accommodation of out of town visitors (participants in the various programs) and a mini bus for transport (used especially for outreach projects).
Workshops, exhibitions, presentations, talks, performances, visiting artists and social events are all part of our itinerary within this stimulating environment.

All applications are reviewed by a selection committee comprising resident artists, greatmore staff and at least one outside guest. Once the selection process is completed, all applicants will be informed as to the results of their application by Friday 19 March 2016. Successful applicants will be offered an initial 2 to 3 month contract which can be extended to three years after review.
