The 4th edition of the Cape Town Art Fair took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. With over 14 000 visitors and almost R30m in sales the Fair was a resounding success.

As the premier event of its kind on the continent, the Cape Town Art Fair showcases the leading exhibitors of contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora who are at the forefront of innovation.
Tomorrows/Today, which is the curated special project of the Cape Town Art Fair is exclusively reserved for emerging galleries or galleries with an experimental approach who are applying with solo representations by young artists from Africa and her diaspora.
The Main Section of the Fair gives visitors an opportunity to see top quality work by diverse cross section of galleries from South Africa, the continent and the international art world.
In Past/Modern we place the contemporary in a historical context by providing a section dedicated to gallery representations of works of art produced before the year 2000 by a maximum of two artists.
Our section titled Editions we bring together galleries and workshops who specialize in works on paper and prints, multiples and editions.
Finally the Cape Town Art Fair is excited to announce the introduction of a new section, Unframed, which is a dedicated platform featuring large-scale sculpture, installation and new media.
Continuing our commitment to building the creative economy in the region we also feature a section dedicated to Cultural Platforms, showcasing work from NGO’s, cultural institutions and studio collectives. This section is via invite only.
