We are also committed to paying our writers, so that they can continue to do the awesome work that they do. ArtThrob is a non-profit, and the majority of our budget goes towards paying writers.

by selling editions of prints generously donated by some of South Africa’s top artists. Our editions programme has emphasised important work by important artists at an affordable price. Our new subscriptions are making these prints more accessible, with big discounts and a payment plan.
How it works:
Firstly, take a look at the amazing prints we have available in our shop.
Think of it as a lay-bye system. You make a monthly contribution, which is saved in your subscription account. When you have enough in your account, you can purchase a print. Or if you are impatient, you can pay in the balance.
You also get a big discount.
The benefit to you is great art, at a discounted rate and affordable monthly payments. You also get to support our ongoing commitment to art criticism and art writers in South Africa.

You put R200 per month into your account 
and you get a 10% discount at our shop. This is a great option if you have an eye on some our lower cost prints by younger artists.
Eat Dessert Before Dinner
You put R300 per month into your account 
and you get a 15% discount at our shop.This is really fantastic value for money with a huge discount and a quicker build-up in your account. We’d get this one.
Nothing By Halves
You put R500 per month into your account 
and you get a 20% discount at our shop. The big discount here makes this option valuable for big collectors.
I’ve only got a little bit of money
