Please join Tabita Rezaire for a meditative journey into Kemetic wisdom to awaken your light beings and reclaim your hoetep powers. In our times of ultra disconnection, ancient African teachings offer guidance to raise our vibrational frequency and tune into our energy source. The spiritual technology of Kemetic Yoga enable us to reconnect, remember and nurture our divine juice. Come turn your MerKaBa on. Instructions for optimum experience: wear a comfortable power outfit, bring a yoga mat (there will also be some mats available to borrow) and water to stay hydrated.

Please join us for a festive evening with food, drinks and music to celebrate the launch of the Northern Winter Workshops, a collective project that brings together art practitioners and cultural workers based in South Africa, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom around questions of decolonisation, art, and social justice.

The launch of the Northern Winter Workshops is hosted by ROOM Gallery & Projects, an independent multidisciplinary gallery and project based space focused on collaboration, dialogue and exchange.

During this launch, we would like to offer you the opportunity to take the stage, either for a performance, a short talk, a poem, quote or text you might want to read, a comment you might have, a question you might want to pose to the others, a song you might want to sing, an instrument you might want to play, or perhaps you would like to screen a short video work? A Mother Tongue Field Trip

Molemo Moiloa and Ashley Whitfield of the VANSA Winter School facilitate A Mother Tongue Field Trip as an afternoon of mind mapping. This field trip is an exploratory session, a way of bringing to the fore the internal references that inform our views of the world. It is about physically delving into the language that we dream and conjure our aspirations in. It is an attempt to unpack ‘Mother Tongue’ through practice. The trip will interweave introductory notes and reflective processes relating to our understanding of ‘Mother Tongue’.
